Over the past 15 years AUBD is the only Australian organisation to consistently compete in major tournaments throughout the USA….. with great results! Despite the limited pool of athletes we draw from for our international basketball tours we have maintained a high level of performance which is revered throughout the USA. With such a strong presence in the USA we are able to access entry into premier tournaments, colleges, NBA events and all things related to basketball.
AUBD has won 12 international junior titles to date. In 2017, the AUBD 13U team became the first and only All Australian team ever to win a major Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Championship by winning the West Coast Grade Based Championships in Las Vegas.

HOW MANY TEAMS GO ON TOUR?
AUBD ususally takes a mininum of 4 and maximum of 5 teams and vary depending on the Tour. Teams can be based on a combination on age and / or year level in school. Our teams have included:
- 10U
- 11U
- 12U
- 13U
- 14U
- Junior Varsity (16U)
- Varsity (18U)
HOW MANY GAMES DOES EACH TOUR TEAM PLAY?
Each team can play anywhere from 15 – 20 games over the duration of the Tour
WHAT IS THE STANDARD OF COMPETITION ON TOUR?
AUBD’s tour teams only compete in the highest level events, against some of the best competition the USA has to offer!
WHAT KIND OF SIGHTSEEING OPPORTUNITIES ARE THERE ON TOUR?
Whilst competition is the focal point of the Tour, there are ample sightseeing opportunities including:
- NBA games (w/ fan experiences e.g. pregame warmups, giveaways, etc)
- US college visits & games
- Six Flags Magic Mountain
- Medieval Times
- Disneyland
- Outlet shopping
CAN PARENTS / FAMILY ACCOMPANY THE TOUR?
Definitely! AUBD encourages parents / families to share in the Tour experience with the athletes. Everyone that goes on Tour are active participants in every aspect of the tour whether they are attending / supporting at games or attending organised sightseeing activites.
