However, we understand that families sometimes wish to extend their stay, arrive earlier, or travel separately for personal or financial reasons.

We do our best to accommodate those requests wherever possible. If you’re considering arranging your own flights, accommodation, or ground transport, please discuss your plans with our team in advance. We’ll make sure your travel arrangements align with the tour schedule so your athlete remains fully supported and connected with the group experience.

Yes. AUBD ensures that all tour participants are covered by comprehensive travel insurance for the duration of the trip. This coverage provides peace of mind for players and families by protecting against unexpected events such as flight delays, lost luggage, or medical emergencies.

In addition to our group policy, we encourage families to review their personal insurance needs and notify us if they have any specific health conditions or requirements that may need additional coverage. Our goal is to make every trip as safe and stress-free as possible so athletes and families can focus on enjoying the experience.

AUBD Tours are designed primarily for AUBD Squad members, but we also welcome selected athletes from outside the program who demonstrate the right mix of skill, character, and commitment. Every player is assessed to ensure they align with the AUBD standard of professionalism and teamwork.

Non-members can apply or be invited to join if there are places available within their age group or team category. Selection is based on:

• Basketball skill level and ability to compete at the international standard of the tour

• Coachability and attitude, both on and off the court

• Team fit, ensuring a positive and supportive group environment

Our tours are also family-inclusive. Parents, siblings, and extended family are encouraged to travel with the group and share in the experience – cheering from the stands, exploring local attractions, and building lifelong memories together.
